We offer a complete range of carpentry and joinery services, along with plumbing and electrical installation. We can work from your designs, or create them to suit your needs and objectives, and we can handle the whole job from concept to completion.

Bespoke Joinery

In our workshops we can make any kind of bespoke timber product. We can use your plans, or we can work with you to commission drawings from one of our team of trusted furniture designers. The range of work we’ve produced is extensive, and includes kitchen furniture, freestanding and built-in cabinets, cupboards and wardrobes, wooden windows and doors, bi-fold shop-fronts and doors, office furniture, and stylish chairs and tables. We can work to any style from retro to ultra-modern, and in any kind of suitable wood. And everything we make is finished to perfection.

First Fix Joinery

First-fit carpentry can have a major impact on the quality of the finished job, and the fact that it is usually hidden sometimes masks that fact. We make and install every kind of first-fix work, including joists, roof trusses, studwork, internal and external wall frames, door linings, soffits, gables, rafters and wooden fascias. Everything we do is of the highest quality, to give trades such as bricklayers, plasterers, electricians and plumbers a sound basis on which to work.

Second Fix Joinery

The beauty of wood really comes into its own with second-fix carpentry, sometimes called finish carpentry. We handle the entire job, fitting either our own or customer-supplied materials, including internal and external doors, shelving, fitted bookcases, architraves, skirting and dado rails, staircases, balustrades and handrails. We can include the fitting of door furniture, locks, latches, and decorative mouldings, and we can finish the work with your choice of paint, varnish or fine polishes.

Major Projects

We can provide a turnkey service for everything from complete timber-framed properties to fitted kitchens, bathrooms, libraries, and dining areas. We work in commercial offices, schools and colleges, retail premises, private homes, hospitals and clinics. Our team of carefully chosen subcontractors – all working to similar high standards – will make sure that your project is delivered on-time, on-budget and to your complete satisfaction.

Plumbing & Electrics

Our very experienced plumbers and electricians are fully qualified and insured subcontractors, each of whom has benefitted from specialised training to the highest standards in their particular trade. We have long experience of working together for the benefit of the client, and we all take great pride in the quality of the finished job.

Shop Fitting

We have extensive experience of working with retail premises, and we can provide everything from individual sales islands and gondolas through specialised shelving units, displays, counters, doors and complete shop-fronts to full design, production and fit-out of shell premises. We can handle the whole project from initial concept, working with our own or the client’s designers or architects. Alternatively, we can refurbish all or part of your retail outlet, building fitting-rooms, staff facilities, storage units or purpose-designed cabinets.

And a PS:

What’s the difference between carpentry and joinery?
In general, a carpenter fixes products on-site that a joiner makes in a workshop. Many of the skills used by carpenters and joiners are similar, but there are some significant differences. We have both sets of skills, which means our clients can rely on us to deliver the complete job from a single source.
What’s the difference between first-fix and second-fix carpentry
The key difference is visibility. First-fix carpentry is all of the hidden work that needs to be done before other trades, such as plasterers, bricklayers, electricians and plumbers come in to do their bit. Second-fix carpentry is all the finished woodwork that happens after those other craftsmen have done their jobs.
